Growth ultra sound help!?

Hello so I’m 31 weeks 5 days and I just had an ultra sound where they check out everything on baby about a month ago, but they scheduled me for another one and called it a growth ultra sound? No one said anything to me about baby’s growth so I’m trying not to worry but could this mean somethings wrong? Anyone else have this done?

I also had the anatomy scan at 31w5d, it's a detailed scan where they look at all organs and estimate baby's weight and percentile.
Had to take another scan (mine was at 35 weeks) for baby’s growth and development. I have been 6 days beginning throughout the entire pregnancy, it's normal and the baby is healthy. Some doctors perform extra scans, others don't, I am sure he would have told you if he had any reason to worry.

A lot of dr do a third trimester growth scan just to make sure everything still looks good, they basically just measure belly head femur and given a growth percentile

I had an ultrasound every 4 weeks starting at 20 weeks. The last 3 were growth scans at 28 weeks, 32 weeks and 36 weeks. It’s all normal and I loved it since I got to see my little monkey a ton and have the best 4d pictures

Embryo, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 20, 24, 28, 32 and the bottoms one is 37 weeks 5 days before she was born.

I think it all depends on your OB. I had an additional growth scan with my daughter around 36 weeks, but haven’t been told if I’m having one with this pregnancy yet. I think they’re just to check to see how big baby is getting and to overall help them feel out how the rest of your pregnancy may go.

I’ll be 36w tomorrow and also am having a growth scan in the morning! It’s totally routine, don’t worry. 😊💜 They don’t check all the measurements during every ultrasound, like in a biophysical profile they just check fluid levels and look for specific movements. Zero anything about growth.

I was told at my 12 week appointment I would have growth scans later in my pregnancy. These can be for loads of different things. It could be to do with you, your pregnancy, any previous pregnancies or medical issues. 
I wouldn’t worry too much. Mine are because my bmi is high, precious miscarriage and being a high risk pregnant. And I’m glad I’m having them as baby is measuring smaller and she’s breech.

They’re pretty common if you’re consistently measuring ahead or behind for fundal height since it gives a better picture to the baby’s growth. Did you ask why it was scheduled?
