Can a cough/cold affect early pregnancy?

Hi. I’ve caught a cough/cold from the office. 5 weeks 5 days. Feels worse than a normal cough but might be due to the pregnancy. How should I cope? Can’t see the doctor until next week. Thank you

I’m super sick right now too. It’s awful. Unless you have a super high fever you and baby should be fine. You can take medicine. My doctor said robutussin dm was fine. Mucinex is okay too.

I had a cold all last week (week 7 for me) and it was miserable. I’m still coughing and have a lot of mucus. I drank a bunch of hot tea, ran dehumidifier and took lots of warm showers. Good luck!

I just had one. Can't really take anything. Lost of fluids, rest and nasal rinses with distilled water. You can take Tylenol and someone told me afrin to help with congestion! Good luck!!

I'm dealing with a cold now too and it is really awful. I usually bounce back quickly but this one is killing me. Be sure to ask your doctor about medications. I messed up and took some generic DayQuil cause there wasn't any pregnancy warning on the box but later my doctor told me that I shouldn't take that. I kind of freaked out but they said since I only took it for one day I shouldn't worry.
