February baby turned into a January baby!

Victoria

Labour started on the 19th super early in the morning... but I wasn’t dilating more then a cm and kept getting sent home, even having contractions 2-3 minutes apart. Wasn’t sure if my water was leaking starting early on the 20th or not and they didn’t check... ended up back home (live over an hour from the hospital) and I woke up at about 2:30am on the 21st in a lot of pain and underwear soaked. Fed the cats and dogs and woke up SO to go in. Sure enough my water had broken, but still only 1cm. So we ended up inducing labour with oxytocin. This whole time I was having back labour. By 2:30 pm my little girl was ready to enter the world. I only had an epidural in the last 2 hours of labour. At 3:05 pm January 21st, 2019 Amelia Rae was born weighing 7lbs2oz and just shy of 20inches long.

With in an hour and a half I was up walking around and showered. Had tares on the labia that needed stitches. If it was upto me I would’ve gone home like 5 hours after giving birth 🤔. My sweet little baby was 14 days early, but an absolute sweet heart and so content, I’m already so in love and happy to be at home settling in.
