braxton hicks at 18W?

today my stomach has been tightening and some cramping has been happening kind of like a period but not as intense or long. its been happening on and off today and its the first time ive felt anything like it. should i be concerned?(ftm)

Normal as long as they aren’t happening more than 4 or so times an hour. After a while you’ll get to know what causes them and what helps. For example I know mine get bad when I’m really dehydrated but also when my bladder is full or I’m constipated! So I try and stay on top of all that and it seems to help.

i went in to the ER because they cramping was becoming so intense it was taking my breath away and after waiting for 4 hours in the waiting room they said everything seemed fine except for a uti. so weird. i know i was having contractions but i guess it was just very intense braxton hicks.

I have been experiencing that same thing my doctor didn’t seem concerned she said I’m probably just dehydrated and mainly to keep up on your water intake and watch yourself from lifting pulling and pushing as it can make contractions come on from stretching the muscles

It’s most likely Braxton Hicks. I’ve been getting them since 16 weeks. You may be dehydrated. If you still have it continue or it gets worse call your DR. But you should be ok
