My step brother and his wife have a joint FB.... he seriously has been caught cheating, and even had blocked messages to try and get at MY best friend... no matter what; cheaters, will be disgusting cheaters. Majority of the time that people have joint FB accounts is CAUSE someone cheated and/or the other person has serious trust issues.

I don’t have soc media but I don’t see a problem with having a joint account? Especially if you’re married and you want to stay in touch with family that lives elsewhere and especially if you have kids

It’s funny people jump to “trust” issues. My husband and I in a sense share social media accounts. They’re all listed under my name but he uses them like they’re his. The apps are on his phone and devices, signed into my account. He doesn’t care to start his own since we do know the SAME EXACT people. We’ve been married for 9 years, together for 11 so maybe that’s why. He feels it would be a waste of effort since it’s not like we are single and have separate groups of friends/family. Which actually makes sense. It doesn’t phase me one bit. And he trusts me 100%. Maybe people should just stop judging 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m my own person. My partner is his own person. I would never share an account because that’s honestly so silly. We already share a life together so why do we need to share a social media outlet?

I like having a separate identity and seeing people that have joint accounts always makes me think that someone is over controlling. Like they cant even be themselves they have to do everything together. They arent their own person anymore and they have to get permission from each other for everything.

Social media isn’t that serious to me so I don’t find it weird lol. We both have our own accounts but we hardly have the time or desire to go on Facebook, instagram, etc. The only reason we even have them anymore is because we move around a lot and it’s easier to post a status update instead of calling everyone individually 🤷🏻‍♀️
