Dilation progression

Just got back from my last OB appointment before my induction on Sunday and she checked to see if I’m dilated at all. 2 weeks ago I was 0 and 50% thinned out, today I was half a cm dilated almost 1cm. My dr said there is a chance I could go into labor before Sunday, but I am not convinced I will dilate enough before then. Has anyone been in my shoes and went into labor shortly after? Anything I can do to help the dilation? I’d like to go into my induction day more dilated so I can go straight into pitocin.
