UTI more common

So this may sound stupid but I’m not actually sure about it. I have never had a UTI up until last September and then I got my second just 4 months later (now) and I don’t know what it could be from, besides sex with my boyfriend, who is uncircumcised. Is that a possible reason for them to become more common? Does anyone have any other ideas?
