Coffee??

Do you still drink regular coffee while pregnant? I didn't drink coffee as much as I do now with my previous 2 babies, so not sure how strict I should be. I usually just have 1 maybe 2 cups/day.

I have been a coffee addict for about the past year or so. I found out I am pregnant today and my husband doesn’t know yet (I have an announcement set up for him for when he comes home from work). He was really confused as to why I didn’t make coffee this morning. I had 2 cups of decaf at work and I am going to try to stick with decaf at least until my first ultrasound because this is my first pregnancy and I’m really scared of a chemical or a mc.

I drink one cup every morning. I avoid other sources of caffeine like tea chocolate and soda. I did this with my last pregnancy and my OB said it was fine.

I immediately switched to decaf when I got my positive 💞 but my doctor said up to 200mg (12oz) of regular coffee is perfectly fine. Just a personal preference for me!

I decided to just cut it out all together. It helps my sleep. I’ve been drinking pregnancy safe teas for the last month. The first three days were hard but I don’t crave it anymore.

Oh yeah, I drink my normal amount, some days zero cups, more often 2 to 3 cups. I have 3 month old twins, I’d die without it.

They say under 200mg of caffeine is okay a day. Keep in mind everyone makes there coffee diffrent, so a strong-higher end coffee could contain more caffine than another pot.
