What’s the deal with ovulating?

Ok, so I’m confused....glow says I’m ovulating but I took a test and it says I’m not. It’s the first time I’ve ever took an ovulation test, but I’m sure it did it right. Am I tracking my period wrong? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Sometimes glow is off by a day or two bc it’s only an estimate. I usually start doing ovulation tests twice a day 4 days before glow predicts it until I get a positive. Sometimes you can be negative in the morning and then positive in the afternoon. I’ve had that happen twice.

I was using glow for about 6 months, assuming it was predicting my ovulation correctly.  Last month I used the Clearblue digital test and found out I was ovulating several days after glow predicted 🤦🏼‍♀️ def do the digital test everyday - I’m sad we lost so much time but happy to know that it may be the reason we have not yet conceived.

I don’t trust what Glow says. It’s usually 1-3 days off on my ovulation. I go by my OPK tests.

The longer you use Glow the smarter it will become at predicting your ovulation date. To start it just chooses the “standard” ovulation on day 14 and 28 day cycle. This is not accurate for many women. Always go with your OPK result and put the result into Glow so it will learn faster and can better predict when your period will come (or hopefully not!). Definitely don’t go by what Glow says (unless you’re adding OPK info and Glow is updating its prediction based on that). Glow’s default guess is based on nothing but an average, which could be completely wrong for you personally. If I paid attention to Glow instead of using OPKs, I would miss my ovulation by several days.

Glow says I’ll O Sat. But yesterday was my lowest temp on bbt chart and today it barely rose and I got positive opk. Guess it’s close but not exact. I’m day 16 today btw. It’s pretty good for an estimate though because this is my third cycle after d&c so things have been hard to predict.

I agree with the others... Glow and my Fitbit app predicted my ovulation date to be four days later than my actual date (confirmed by OPK). It's only an estimate and you should test daily through your cycle to actually know. Pregmate brand on Amazon worked well for me and are cheap, so I don't feel bad testing from CD 8 until I get my surge.

Sometimes people just don’t ovulate on the typical CD 14! How long are your cycles?
