I have my first gynecologist appointment in 2 weeks (February 6th). I wouldn’t be excited in general I don’t think... but I’m going because I believe I have ovarian cysts or endometriosis, both of which my mother has and several other women on my moms side of the family.

I thought bloating was normal, extreme pain in uterus while using the bathroom (both # 1&2) was normal, the back pain, pelvis pain, and crying from how bad pain was could be normal. I thought having these cramps not only on my period but on ovulation and pre and post menstruation was okay too. I have had an overly high pain tolerance since I was little bc of a motor skill disorder, and I don’t know how I didn’t realize that if I’m feeling this bad now that it’s serious.

How do the tests go? What exactly happens? What do they do to test me/examine me for cysts and things? What would they prescribe me? I am very scared because I don’t like doctors but I have to put this fear behind me because i can’t suffer anymore. Please help
