Why am I getting negative pregnancy test at 13 days late? Should I ask for a blood test or ultra sound to be sure? Having all symptoms

I had this a few months ago, it turned out to be an annovitory ( think that's how you spell it) cycle which meant due to not releasing an egg that cycle my brain didn't communicate to the progesterone and that's why I didn't have a period that month.
Don't worry it happens to all of us , no rhyme or reason it's just one of those things, so don't panic 
My cycle went back to normal the next month, just a tad more heavier as I had more lining to dispose of .... google it , its a common thing we go through from time to time.

If you’re 13 days late you’d likely have a positive pregnancy test. Go see your doctor to figure out why your period is so late.

You might not have ovulated or ovulated late. This far after you thought you ovulated you should’ve had a positive test. An ultrasound will tell whether or not you’ve ovulated.

Maybe wait 1-2 more weeks and test again when hcg levels rise more?
