I wouldn’t say to solidify. I’d say safety. 
My husband texts me when he arrives at work. And texts me when he’s leaving work. He does it to let me know he’s safe because of his job and he feels reassured that if I don’t hear from him I can ring alarm bells. If he has a spare minute he might text me during work. He likes to check I’m ok cause I have some health issues and I’m heavily pregnant. We just make a great tag team. I love how much he cares.

Some days we text more somedays we don’t at all, sometimes we will talk on the phone other times we won’t 
Just depends how busy we are and if we need to get in contact with each other 🤷🏼‍♀️

I wouldn't say to solidify it, but I just want to. He's my best friend and so many things happen throughout the day that I'll forget by the end of the day all the little funny things I encounter.
