I'm 38 weeks and a day with my 2nd baby.

I got checked at 36 weeks and was 4 to 5 cm dilated. Then again at 37 weeks with no change.

I just got checked yesterday and I'm 7cm dilated!

How am I not in labor already??

I'm having nothing but BH contractions but nothing consistent or painful.

I have my induction date set up for Feb. 1st but my doctor doesn't think I'll make it till then.

I am terrified that when the time comes, it'll happen so fast, I wont have time to get an epidural. Thankfully I live 5 minutes from the hospital.

Anyone else ever go through something like this?
