One eye smaller than the other?? 👁

So I’ve been noticing with my daughter her left eye is bigger than the other. I know faces aren’t symmetrical but hers are noticeably different sizes. When she was first born she wouldn’t open that right eye for a week. The doctor have checked her eyes and said they are fine. I’m not sure if it’s because she didn’t use the muscles like her other eye so it just needs time to even out. I read about ptosis but she doesn’t have a squint at all so I’m not sure.Can anyone ease my mind or know what it is?

I have no idea but mine aren’t exactly the same size either. It’s probably just one of those small things we,as parents, notice but no one else would.

I don't think its anything to worry about, my left eye is obviously bigger than my right. My mom went to 3 different doctors that all said I was good. It hasn't effected my vision or anything, it's just qq annoying to look at for me😂

Hello. Eyelids and eyebrows are often slightly different which can make eyes appear a bit different. I doubt it would be a drooping eyelid condition at that age but then again I’m not a doctor. They look normal to me... I would ask your doctor’s opinion on it though, especially with the history of not opening that eye :) x

My husband and son have one eye smaller than the other. I don’t even notice it anymore and they’re both fine.

Every pair a human has there will always be one that is slightly bigger or longer.

Has your pediatrician said anything about it? My daughter was sent to a pediatric opthalmologist because of ptosis. Nothing is usually done for it unless it impeds their vision. She had a full eye exam to make sure there were no other optical abnormalities.

I think you only need to worry it pupil sizes are different.

Have her tear ducts checked my nephew had blocked ducts and his eyes looked large until they fixed it.

It's very slight and her left eye.

My left eye is bigger than my right eye. It’s very obvious especially when I smile. But I’ve literally never faced any adversity over it. I have poor eyesight but nothing to consider a struggle.
