Pumping?!?!

I haven't breast feed since the hospital since he wouldn't latch I've been feeding him formula. He's 8 days old today. Would it hurt to pump and give that to him? Or would it confuse him??

Give him whatever milk you can pump. Keep try to get him to latch if not then give him bottle. My little girl was 3 weeks early and it took her a little over 2 weeks to latch on. I had to supplement with formula in the beginning until I was pumping enough milk. You can also try a nipple shield to help with latching. Worked wonders for me. Good luck momma

I have been pumping and feeding it to my little guy and he is all good and happy! We tried breastfeeding multiple times and he wouldn’t latch properly and even with a lactation nurse we had no luck. I was sad and still am somewhat but a full and happy baby is more important. Don’t be hard on yourself.....I have to keep reminding myself that when I feel sad about it.

I would like to pump and feed also, how did you guys start the process? Just start pumping straight away after birth (while in the hospital)? What if you’re literally only getting a few drops at first... Any advice?
