So, me and my dad just got into a huge argument. He literally looked at me and said, "Now, I don't need to worry about you and them black boys, do I?"

This immediately pissed me off. Like I don't understand how people can be like this! Especially my own father. I am caucasian by the way.

I'm trying to understand why it matters what skin color of the guy I'm dating is?! Like shouldn't it matter more how he treats me and if he makes me happy?

I'm not saying I'd ever date anyone outside of my race, but if I wanted to WHY WHY WHY does it matter if he's black, brown, or purple?!

So I said to him, "That's none of your business and it shouldn't matter who I like. Why are you so close minded?"

To which he replied, "You're close minded. I'm not allowed to have an opinion?"

I never said he wasn't allowed an opinion, but why does he try sooo hard to push his beliefs onto me?
