No sperm?! Ugh this is too much...🥺

As if my husband and I weren’t already worried because we’re over 35 and had been trying for 5 months. We did some fertility baseline testing...I’m hypothyroid (and now on meds) and there’s basically no sperm in my husband’s semen analysis. Our doctor recommended we see a urologist to determine possible blockages/hormone issues, etc. Has anyone else had this happen and gone on to conceive? My hope is that my husband is at least producing sperm that we can take directly from the testicle and do IUI or IVF if the issue is not correctable. Pretty scary and we’re both really upset and anxious. Hoping for answers soon. Send us positive thoughts and any stories you may have of experiencing something similar 🥺😞

My husband has low sperm count (motility and morphology of what he has is ok). We were told to skip iui because of the cleaning process we’d lose more sperm. So we are doing 3 cycles of me on clomid and him working with a urologist for further testing into whats going on. He’s 33, generally healthy/average build. Then ivf is our best option we were told.

My friends husbands testicles were too close to his body making them too hot to create healthy sperm and they did surgery and they now have 2 kiddos

My husband had sperm but no mobility. All dead in the water. He went to a urologist and was put on clomid and we conceived in a few months

There was a women on here recently who posted about doing 3 rounds of IUI, her husband had little to no sperm and they conceived. So there IS hope!!!

how do they test for sperm count? does the person ejaculate into a cup and they measure it? wondering if my partner should have his sperm count checked. if it’s not a complicated test, i don’t see why not
