Asking for work leave?

I'm at a loss right now,  I work as a waitress fulltime an a cna part time. It's so much physically to handle. My back hurts like hell when I get off nd my legs hurt so bad and back that I can barely walk after I get off. How do I go about asking my dr for a note to go on work leave or bed rest due to it physically draining me and hurting me??

Just explain the physical toll your job is having on you and how you’re having a hard time dealing. Your Dr may suggest it, if not you should bring it up (“do you have any suggestions about how to access an early leave” or something)

My OB wont allow bed rest unless medically necessary.. what she did do was put me on work restrictions, less hours, more breaks, weight restrictions.. 
Doesnt hurt to ask, every dr is different

I worked as a waitress when I was pregnant with my last. Luckily it was the breakfast shift so it wasn’t super super busy. But I wore compression socks and just let my boss know that there was going to be times that I HAD to sit down for a few minutes. They literally gave me a milk crate but hey it worked.

How far along are you? Ultimately you just have to ask. Explain the situation and see what they say. Worst case scenario is they say no, but at least you tried

I say just ask and go from there. At least a break from ONE of them if not both. Depending on how far along you are, it may be harder or easier.
