Same as a couple of the other girls! Installed the bases and not putting the car seat in until it’s go time because of replacement in the event of an accident.

Did mine today. It was a work out. Do not advise you to install after baby is born because I was in all kinda weird positions trying to get it in. 😂

I did it wks ago bc technicians installed it for us for free at the hospital. They made sure it was safe and were very informative when showing us how to use it

Ladies I have a question - is it safe to install just the base? Knock on wood but if I got in an accident would it be ok or would I have to buy a new base? I want to install the base and keep the car seat in my house but I’m not sure if it’s a good idea. 36 weeks tomorrow

We installed our seat in my car because I don’t drive often, and we wanted to get used to having it in there. We also intentionally bought a seat that doesn’t require replacement after minor accidents so if we get into a fender bender, our seat doesn’t have to be replaced. Thank god we installed when we did because we found out that our seat doesn’t fit well in either of the cars we had, so we traded one in for a bigger vehicle and that’s the one I will be using. Now we have one car it fits great in, and one where it fits but it’s a tight squeeze for the passenger.

Our car seat and base is sitting in baby’s room along with bags. We will grab it on the way out the door and leave it in the car til we come home. Hubby will go install it while I’m putting baby in the car seat and stuff. That’s how we did it with the last two
