Even if used 100% perfectly, it can still break just because maybe it was a faulty condom or it got too hot from being in a car. So I mean they ARE a reliable birth control option as used perfectly, but even a condom’s expiration date can cause it to break (yes they have expiration dates).

My husband and I used condoms for years and never had one break. NOT ONCE! 
We switched brands and switched lubes in that time and didn’t have any issues. 
However, the even package says they’re not perfectly effective 😂
I assume they can break even if used correctly!

I think only once I had one rip on me but it was because I was hella dry down there
