I found out I was pregnant with my first baby the week after Christmasafter trying for almost 3 years. We went in for an 8 week scan and the heart rate was 153, the baby was looking healthy! A week went by and we went in for a 9 week scan. We were so hopeful having seen that the baby had normal heart rate a week prior, that we weren't a bit concerned. As soon as the doctor got the baby on the ultrasound we knew right away something was wrong. There was no heart beat. She did a transvaginal, and sure enough, I had had a missed miscarriage. I decided to go with the D&C since I had know a woman who had gone through natural miscarriages as well as a D&C. She had told me that the D&C was painless, fast and it was easier for her to move on from. So I got it done yesterday. It went really well, I'm barely spotting, slight cramps and I have plenty of energy. My husband and I are ready to look toward the future and we want to know what other people have experienced. I have so much anxiety about getting pregnant again and having to endure another miscarriage. How many of you had a successful pregnancy after an experience like this? Also when did you start trying again? Did you wait for one cycle or two? Any advice or story, please let me know. We are not alone in pregnancy loss, we will remain strong! 🌈❤
