Retroactive jalousy

Hello everyone, so as said in the title I'm dealing with a retroactive jalousy which means that I'm jalous of the past of my boyfriend, he talked about his exes few times. At the beginning it was only for letting me know things he thinks it would be necessary for a healthy relationship, but the last time it was a disaster since we were walking romantically until he saw something made him remember one of his exes and he brought her up. I got mad and let him know that I'm not glad at all, he needs to live in the present or I'll have to leave, and he was so sorry telling me it's not going to happen again. But since then I don't feel good and I started thinking of a break up because even if he says that he loves me and I'm the one I still feel bad about what he did .
