3rd degree tear... now what? HELP!!!!

So with my first daughter in 2015 I had a 3c degree tear which is basically the almost 4th. There is a risk of me tearing again. But I fear having a c-section. Has anyone had a really bad tear and then gone on to have a natural birth afterwards with little to no problems afterwards? I’m so nervous.xx

So I’ve got loads of experiences from a Facebook group and a lot of said they didn’t tear again or had a little graze that didn’t need stitches. Then a few have said they’ve have second degree after having a really bad 3rd or even 4th but had no problems with the healing xx after I have my internal scan of muscles have healed I’m going natural and doing hypnobirthing x

I read up on this after suffering a borderline 3rd degree tear first time round  , but was classified a second. 
Anyway ... from what i’ve researched there’s no evidence of you tearing again at all, better or worse. It just happens and it’s kind of pot luck! 
So no need to worry about same thing happening again, it may be absolutely nothing next time or a smaller tear.

I had to be cut with my first even after tearing It was a 3rd degree tear. I tore a bit with my 2nd kid and no tearing at all with my 3rd. So who knows lol best of luck though!

I’m terrified too 😩 I had a 3rd degree tear with my first AND the doc stitched me TOO much! I wasn’t able to have sex comfortably for 11 MONTHS. I switched OB’s so hopefully this one will help me out better during birth!

The are sooo many factors that determine whether or not you tear & how bad -- the baby's position, how fast they come out, etc. I've heard lots of stories of second time moms not tearing after having a bad tear the first time.
