At the park? Sure. In a restaurant? No way. I think it just depends where you are.

I selected POLL because it depends on where you are. Everywhere that is not home is considered "public" to me.

Kids need germs to develop immune systems. This doesn't mean I want my kid to wander around everywhere in public, because germ levels vary. But, it's necessary to get some exposure.

A lot of times I question putting my walking toddler down. I just never know what she's going to find on a public floor.

Hell to the no. That's so nasty and babies put everything in their mouth. No telling what people are tracking in on the bottom of their shoes. I don't even allow shoes in my house ugh.

Babys put their hands in their mouth, they will also eat anything they find on the ground. I wouldn't unless I had a blanket to put down like at the park. But at a store, no.

It's good for young babies to get bacteria in their immune system to make it stronger so they get less sick when they are older. I let my son touch stuff and I don't wash his binky when it hits the ground. I dust it off and make sure there is no hair on it. And I let my dogs lick him. It's healthy

I see moms doing this. Just nasty. I have even seen moms doing this on hospital floors!
