Ladies who had their baby, did you go back home wearing smaller size clothes ?

I can't wait to wear my old clothes...
I mean obviously I'll have a pouch, but would it be painful to squeeze it in my old size ?
I am tired to look like a potato bag honestly lol

I would definitely not bring your pre-pregnancy jeans and try to fit in them at the hospital! Lol maybe leggings or elastic waist pants?? Even if you are super tiny and shrink back to your size quickly, you’ll have big bulky pads and probably be real sore and want loose clothing. With my first, my stomach went down to the size I was at like 4 months pregnant immediately following birth so I just wore maternity pants with a loose shirt home. I was back to pre pregnancy shirts really quickly but the jeans took me some time... extra pregnancy weight and my hips felt like they were wider so pants fit differently!

You will want comfortable clothes.  You’re going to have giant pads, sore parts, and an exhausted body.  Save the nicer clothes for a few days later.

I didn't have any pain with this baby. I still wore some leggings and a shirt. You want to feel comfortable especially while you are bleeding.

It just depends. I'd bring a couple options for pants. With my first we left at 36 hours post partum and I wore my maternity leggings and a large loose shirt. This time we left at 12 hours post partum and my maternity leggings were falling off. I ended up wearing a pair of my high waisted regular sized leggings and a long cardigan in my regular size.

I would just bring your pregnancy clothes, that’s what most folks advise. Believe me comfort triumphs looking cute lolll. Plus depending on how you deliver, if a csection, you’ll want some loose pants especially around your lower tummy. Don’t stress yourself out about old clothing and sizes. Let your body heal. We’ve been through a lot.

I packed a pair of maternity leggings and a pair of maternity loungey pants for when I come home. And then my husbands shirts as well as 1 of my comfy shirts if I don’t wanna wear my husbands lol
