First ultrasound questions

I had my first ultrasound today and they wouldn’t let my husband go in with me? Which I didn’t know why? The tech told my husband to wait in the waiting room while they did the exam and then she would come back out and get him, but she never got him? Has anyone else ever experienced this before? I hope this doesn’t happen again or else I am going to find another place. I’m so sad right now.
