Which Breast pump??

First time mom here.....any thoughts on a breast pump? It’s so great that your health insurance will give you a breast for free but now WHICH one? I’m interested in the spectra s2 for it’s hospital grade and the medela pump. Any thoughts or guidance??

Go for the spectra. It’s a closed system so it’s more hygienic. It’s got tons of different settings and you can customize it perfectly for your let down/expression. It’s the one I have and I absolutely loved it.

I’ve used Spectra S2 and Medela (PISA and hospital grade). Hands down Spectra is so much better! The settings are much more custom on Spectra pumps which is much more comfortable to me. I wish I would have upgraded to the S1 for the internal battery as I was almost an exclusive pumper with my last baby and pumped on the go a lot.

I’ve used medela in the past and I will be switching to the spectra S2 this time around. The medela Motor both times for me started dying and becoming less strong at only3 months PP. And I wasn’t even exclusively pumping.

At the advice of my midwife (and after reading roughly a million reviews), I ordered the Spectra S2. It sounds like it’s the most comfortable.

I’ve never used it, but I’ve heard good things about the spectra s2! That’s the one I ordered 😊 hoping my insurance covers that one, still waiting to hear if it went through.

I was an exclusive pumper for 8 months with my first and couldn’t have done it with my PISA. I loved my spectra s1 sooooo much. Hoping my insurance will pay for another one with baby #2!

Ladies how long does it take for your insurance to be approved? And is this something you can do before you deliver??

I’m planning on getting the Spectra S1... there’s a rechargeable battery giving a bit more freedom than having to always be plugged in.
