So my husband and I bought a new home together in October. 2 weeks after we moved in my sister in law called us asking if she could stay with because she broke up with her boyfriend, had no job, no place of her own, and also had some legal issues. We said yes. She has since gotten a job and has been working to resolve her legal issues. I'm proud of her for making progress but some days I'm just super frustrated about her living with us. I feel guilty for having these feelings. I feel like having an extra person in the house is putting strain on my relationship with my husband. He easily gets frustrated her and gets in a bad mood and that bad mood gets passed on in his interactions with me. He and I have our own personal issues we are facing (trying to get custody of his daughter, me in a new position at my job due to a company merger) and I feel like her bringing her world of problems into our home is putting a lot of stress on us. I guess I just needed to vent somewhere but if anyone has been in a similar situation and has advice, I'd love to hear it! 💙
