Just had my first acupuncture appointment to induce labor (38 +5 today).... Per my OB’s recommendation, as she says baby girl is measuring large, is completely healthy, and I’m already 70% effaced and 1 cm dilated. My question is, have any mommas done this to help induce labor? My session was with a women’s health and fertility L.Ac specialist, but it lasted less than 30 min and he only inserted needles on the right side of my low back/spine (none on the left, and no needles anywhere else). Clearly, I am not a specialist... so I’m curious, is this normal? Thanks !! I have another appointment coming up on Monday as well.
