My SO has an unusual and hard to spell name and has always been annoyed with it. So for our son he wants the name to be really straightforward and with no ambiguity about spelling etc. I’m fine with that and we have a very strong candidate for a name that we are both happy with. 😊

But additionally he thinks that middle names are unnecessary and doesn’t really want one for our son. I myself am not sure. I haven’t been able to come up with one I love and I don’t think there is any family name we would consider. But is it strange not having a middle name? It does seem most people have one... What are your thoughts?
