I had my anomaly scan and was told I've anterior low lying placenta. If it doesn't move I'll need a c section. I've a scan at 34 weeks to see if it's moved. Anyone else have this? Anything I can do to move it?

I just had my 20w scan and had the same news although mine is posterior.. but still low lying. My best friend is a midwife and she said not to worry about it too much yet because there’s still plenty of time for it to move up. So it’s great you get another chance to see baby on the scan in a couple of months time! 
And, if it doesn’t move up.. then we just have to go with the safest entrance for baby. I really don’t want a c-section but I’d rather one that was planned than an emergency!

Had this with my 1st and it was fine by 30 weeks...dont worry it usually moves, you still have lots of time.

I was told this too, I am planning a csection anyway but if mine doesn’t move up I will have to go to a bigger surgery center instead of my home hospital.

I was told the same thing, however they checked again before they released me from my scan and by the end of the scan it had moved up. I was having a contraction when she first got pictures and tried to measure. She showed me the difference in pictures of contraction vs position with no contraction.

I was also told that mine is sitting a bit low right now and that if she continues to move down rather than up, a C section would be needed. Hoping she goes up by my next ultrasound!
