First Period

How soon is it expected to get your first period after giving birth? I am five weeks postpartum, and one week ago I started the mini pill. My doctor and I decided on this because I was breast-feeding so he said the pill along with breast-feeding would help work together as birth control. He also said that I probably wouldn’t get my first period until after I was done breast-feeding or weaning but I’m pretty sure I started it today. Is this normal?
