Induction Question

*Long Post* Those who were induced, either electively or by necessity, I gotta ask. I was induced with my first, they said I was already experiencing contractions but I literally never felt them. Even in hard labor, I never felt the painful contractions everyone is talking about. I had pitocin and a folie insert to speed dilation, it was a 17 hour process.

Well, 37 weeks and a few days today, I'm having an upset stomach and diarrhea for the second time in 3 weeks. Last time, it lasted for a few days. They told me on the advice line to call labor and delivery. Called them, they tried to tell me I was experiencing acid reflux given the symptoms. My husband doesn't believe it and I'm too close to take any chances. We go to the ER and they send us up to labor and delivery anyway. Of course, I'm dehydrated because the stomach pain has made me not want to eat and only sip on water today. But, I'm standing at the station for all of 30 seconds when they press on my abdomen telling me I'm having contractions that I'm not feeling.

ended up getting hooked up to all the monitors with an IV fluid drip and oxygen, I kept telling them I didn't feel right on my back. Passed out once and almost a second time. They got me stable and on my side after about 20 min. Anyway, after being there for a few hours, I asked about the contractions, they were expecting me to tell them they were getting worse after countless times of me saying I don't feel them, didn't with my first, didn't when I walked in, didn't when I was on the phone and told not to come in. I asked one doctor about getting a cervix check, they said they were probably going to, and then she said they wouldn't unless the contractions were causing me pain? Like, what? I'm 37 weeks, why would you not check to be safe? Well, they said that because I was induced with pitocin and had a folie insert during my first labor, that's why I never felt contractions. Everything about that seems wrong from all the personal stories I've read on here. They decided I was good after some fluids and released us. Told me to ask about a cervix check at my appt next week, and to come back only if I was having off cm, blood, painful contractions, or my water broke. Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks that's crazy?
