Spermicide?

Has anyone tried using spermicide (gel, films, etc.) in lieu of a condom? How was it? Do you think it was effective?

I only ever used it with a condom due to just spermicide has a pretty high failure rate

I have used Gynol II alone and did not get pregnant. However, I do not recommend it since it’s only 72% effective. It works but I was anxious around the time my period was supposed to start. Use another method with it, whether it be a condom or pull out.

I’ve used gel, film and spermicidal sponge. It worked. But I would use it conjunction with another reliable method of birth control (hormonal/non hormonal).
