Yes being overweight makes it harder to conceive, implant, and have a successful pregnancy.

My point was simply that the orginal posters weight ALONE was not the cause of a miscarriage. That is simply not true. There are thousands of things that can factor into a miscarriage so to tell her that her weight is the cause is both unfair and untrue.

Studies have shown that being overweight makes it harder to conceive and successfully carry. Your anecdotal experience doesnt disprove it. Lots of women have successful overweight pregnancies, that doesnt mean being overweight didnt lower their chances of it.

Again. Not true. As an overweight woman i have perfect blood pressure, normal range blood sugar, completely regular cycles and am over halfway through a successful 0 complications pregnancy. At my lowest weight i had a miscarriage, at my heavest, successful pregnancy. The 2 are not related in any way. Speaking not only for myself, but other women i know, as well as my own doctors (plural) confirmation.

My suggestion would be to set up an appointment with an obgyn and run some blood work to see if there is an underlying issue, or if it's just unexplained. As difficult as it is to go through, miscarriage in the first trimester is very common, on women of all sizes.

I doubt it. I had my first miscarriage at my lowest weight and my 2nd after I gained 15 pounds and then my first successful pregnancy about 30lb after my first miscarriage. Unless you have other weight related health issues, your weight alone is not the problem.

Could be. More likely genetic abnormalities with the embryo though.

Could be. I gained over 75 lbs after my miscarriage and it’s been hard to keep the weight down since then.
