Dental assistant or Lvn nurse

anno

So rn I’m in a pickle of what type of school I want to go to . I’m in between dental assistant and lvn . LvN school will take a year and dental assist will take 6 months .

I’m trying to see which one will be better in the long run .

They are both not what I want to do in the long run but just so I can get stable and provide for my daughter .

Which one would you do

Dental assistant bc you can do on the job training to become a hygienist and that bumps the pay up quite a bit

LVN makes more money and has more job opportunities/room for advancement. I did a dental assisting program and dental assisted for a year and I ended up HATING it. Do tons of research before choosing so you don’t ended up with student loans for something you don’t end up using!

LVNs don’t really have much room to move up, because they’ll always be under the supervision of an RN. But most LVNs work in clinics or nursing homes and those hours should be good considering you have a child. But I’m not too sure about dental assisting, i couldn’t look at dirty mouths all day, but hey lol go for it if u can.
