PP Period already?

I'll be 3 weeks PP on Tuesday and I'm 95% sure I've started my period. It smells like it rather than lochia. I'm breastfeeding and pumping and I was under the impression it'd be a while? Anyone else start this soon?

I’d guess it isn’t. My doctor explained to me that PP bleeding comes in two “waves” the first is the nasty lochia, and it lasts for the first two weeks. It’s super heavy, red, nasty. Then most women usually stop for several days and then start the second wave which is usually lighter, more manageable, and mimics a period. I’d say watch how long it lasts, more than 4/5 days, and I’d say it isn’t period. Also, you can do ovulation testing if it does end. If you ovulate, it means it was your period. If not, it was just more PP bleeding :) good luck.

I was 4 weeks on money and EBF. So yeah def possible

It may be awhile but many breastfeeding moms can get their period immediately or 2 months later or not at all. Its just a possiblity of no period. Most women do get still get though. So chances are you did start your period.

My friend EBF and gets her period at 4 weeks pp.
Everyone is different, I EBF and my period never returns.
