Implanon

So I've been on the nuva ring for 4 years and my period has been really irregular for the last year. My acne has also gotten pretty bad. I was doing three weeks in one week off but my doctor switched me to 9 weeks in 1 week off. I've been thinking about switching to the Implanon rod and was wondering what people thought of it? I imagine it's better for you being it doesn't have estrogen in it.
