I did my maternity pic today. At first I wasn’t sure but decided to go for it. I have a history of miscarriages and to be honest I’m not sure if I’ll be to experience this again. For that reason I decided to capture the moment. I also plan to do new born pictures.

We did newborn pictures with a photographer at 4 weeks instead. I LOVE those photos. I didn’t feel comfortable with using flash, so we found a photographer that did natural lighting.

I'm doing maternity pictures and then family pictures a month after the baby is born. My reasons being I didn't do maternity pictures with my first pregnancy and regret it and there will be hundreds of pics of the baby at the hospital between you and your family.

I’m so very cheap when it comes to that stuff and do it all ourselves. We have a decent enough camera. The only time we’ve hired a photographer was for our wedding and even then we only had them just for the ceremony to save money.

We’re doing maternity pictures with a friend who is just starting her photography business, so her rates are very reasonable and her work is solid. My husband has two boys from a previous relationship and they won’t be included in the maternity pics. But, we’re planning to do a family session after the baby is here with the same photographer so that we have some great pics with all five of us. We wouldn’t be able to afford to do the after session if we went with some more established photographers.

Our hospital pictures with our first turned out so cute. We’re definitely planning to get them again. I don’t think we’ll do maternity photos but may also do some family/newborn photos when baby is a few weeks old.

We didnt do maternity pics. We did hospital pics and they were SSOO expensive.  I would get a grest photographer to do it a few days out of the hospital with you snd SO.
