HCG REGRESSION after miscarriage and D&C
I searched high and low for an Hcg regression photo, but apparently I’m the only crazy person to want to see what it looks like.
Background: I found out I was pregnant on 12/16-17 (10/11 dpo) but I had red and brown spotting for that whole week. I wasn’t holding my breath for a successful pregnancy, as my first loss in 2016 started similarly. Of course, I am a serial tester so I kept testing and my lines kept getting darker and darker. My HCG doubled appropriately 12/26 was 1887 and 12/28 3445.
Long story short, at 7 weeks there was no embryo; same at 8 weeks. Blighted ovum, I think. I had a D&C on 1/18 (#teamclosure).
We are going to try after my first period, but I hope to take a different approach: I’m trying to keep the testing to a minimum (this has taught me that in the end it doesn’t matter anyway), I’m trying to keep my damn mouth shut, and I am not trying to do any early interventions before what normal people do (8 or so weeks).
So I had some left over tests and decided to document my line regression. To compare, here is my line progression. In parentheses is dpo, then date and time obvi:
And here is my line regression so far 8 dpd&c. All of these were taken in the morning except for 1/18 and 1/25:
Here they are mashed together:
I hope someone finds this helpful...
Oh as of yesterday I only have the faintest faintest spotting and funny enough I am having some ovary pain/af cramps. It looks like the Hcg levels are going down nicely. Hoping for a negative in the next 5 days!
