Did you leave in your belly button ring while pregnant?

I’ve had my belly button pierced for ten years. Just found out I’m pregnant. Wondering if I should take it out now? 
I’ve seen awful pictures of piercing holes stretched that just look terrible

I tried the pregnancy rings and it got irritated constantly. I would take them out.. it would go back to normal. Put it in.. instantly red sore and irritated. I just put my regular barbell through every so often so it doesnt close up but the maternity rings just didn't work out for me.

No, I tried to leave mine in the first pregnancy which I was pretty small for, and I still ended up with torn tissue around the piercing hole. This time, I took it out before the pregnancy and haven't had a single tear or stretch.

I’m 23 weeks and I still have my top and bottom piercing in . Mainly because I’m not big at all , I literally just have a little pudge but I plan on taking them out once I get bigger .

No. My boss (a nurse) told me to take it out because it may end up being stretched out. I put my ring through the hole every other week maybe to make sure it stays open.

With my first pregnancy I left it in the whole time. My hole is stretched now I gained a lot during the pregnancy and I think it would have stretched either way.

Once I got pretty big it start splitting and getting infected. Left it out then for 4 months and it closed up 😩

They stretch regardless, leaving it in doesn’t stretch the hole, but it can get uncomfortable, just poke the jewellery through once a week and it won’t close up
