What kind of dress do you wear to courthouse wedding as a bride?

Question

The thought of planning a wedding is so stressful!  We just want it to be us and my parents, my daughter, and that’s it.  Not really interested in wearing a traditional wedding dress or anything.  My favorite color is red, could I just wear a little red dress, or is that tacky?
What did y’all do??  Sorry if my question sounds silly.  I know nothing about this

I got married at the courthouse and wore a simple cream colored dress.  I think if your favorite color is red, go for it.  One lady was wearing an actual wedding dress, but everyone else kind of did their own thing.  If you love red, and you find a dress you love, go for it!

We got married at the city clerk’s office in NYC. I loved sitting waiting to get married because there were hundreds of people from all walks of life getting married in their own way. There were full wedding parties there with flower girls and page boys and then there were couples just wearing super casual outfits with sneakers. It was so lovely just watching everyone so happy and doing it their way, and I would definitely say wear what you want :)

Go with a little red dress, if that's what you want! It's your day, whether it's at a court house or not! I got married at the magistrate (for my second wedding) and wanted to wear a wedding dress, still. I went a non traditional route and wore a short, white lace dress. I got it at David's Bridal for $100. My entire wedding was under $300 and I'd do it all over again.

This is what I wore, it’s stopped right above me knee and I wore chunky heel. But if you want to wear red then wear red! Mine was only like $10 at a clearance store 😬

we got married in april in the south so it was hot af. i went to a thrift shop and spent less than $40 on some cute ass shoes and a white sundress
