Hospital visits?

What rules are you all using  for visiting after baby is born? Do you plan on posting them on social media or another way?

Mine are pretty simple. If your sick or have recently been sick DONT come. 
If you have kids, leave them at home!!
DO NOT kiss my baby on the face! It’s flu season people! 
If your coming bring Dunkin coffee! I’ve gone 10 months without! If you bring me coffee you can hold my baby 😂

Strictly family only at the hospital. Nobody’s allowed to visit without my invitation or permission. Limiting visits because not everyone needs to come at once and I’d rather bond with my new family first. Couldn’t give a rats ass about hurting anyone’s feelings.

Lmao no reason to post stuff on social media! You can just tell the nurses you don’t want visitors. Y’all got so many people running to see you that you need to post it on Facebook? I find that so incredibly rude and egotistical.

No visitors in the hospital or first two weeks, we just want family time. Our family is already aware of this. If people want to visit after that, they can reach out to us and we’ll arrange, I don’t feel there’s any reason to be posting anything about it on social media. We will post on social that baby was born sometime after we get home. I think some people over-expect how many people will want to come visit 😳

Immediate family of mine and his fathers, and about 4 of my close girlfriends because we have all been at the hospital for each of each other’s births. I’ll post my son on social media but not right away, and I don’t want anyone posting him until I have or without my permission. 😀

We plan to tell only the following people we’re in labor at all: both sets of parents, a sister in law who’s coming to take care of the dog while we’re gone, and three friends of mine. If people don’t know you’ve had the baby, they can’t show up unannounced and uninvited to the hospital when you maybe don’t want visitors right then 😉 All of those people are people with whom we’re comfortable seeing at the hospital, and also “waiting on me” to have the baby. I didn’t want a bunch of people just waiting. That seemed like a lot of pressure for me to have in the back of my mind while I labored. I don’t plan to post on social media until we’ve left the hospital. And I plan to ask my two local friends not to tell anyone else so word doesn’t get around and others show up. The time for us as a little family and me being checked and recovering and trying to nurse for the first time is #1 priority for me, followed by the people above being able to meet baby girl.
