My story
My story...where do I start?!? Our little bundle of joy has been doing somersaults for a month so I have been having weekly ultrasounds. Sunday, I started feeling bad and my mucous plug started to slowly come out. Monday morning at 5 am, I woke up with contractions and the rest of my mucous plug came out. My ultrasound was for 9:45 so I decided to shower and triple check everything and not go to the hospital. So...fast forward, while doing the ultrasound, we see he's sitting with his butt in my pelvis so no natural birth and when I'm hooked up to the monitor, my contractions are 3 minutes apart so I was sent next door to the hospital. Since I ate breakfast that morning, I was forced to wait (stupid me) & when it was finally time to do the c section is when the real fun began. The baby wouldn't come out so, he had to be taken out feet first which felt like it took FOREVER! My epidural started wearing off 3/4 of the way through, I started throwing up. I could feel a lot of pain...not just pressure. My dr started yelling at the anesthesiologist because I tried to reach the curtain to stop him. They escorted my husband and the baby out so I could be knocked out because I was also bleeding really bad and it was turning into chaos. Afterwards, I was apologized to every time my dr came to check on me and even shared his disappointment with anesthesia and the fact that he had made a formal complaint against the dr. I have spent a week in the hospital and we are finally home. We made our 7 year old wait to meet his brother til I was discharged because I didn't want him to see me incapacitated and high as a kite for the pain. It's been such a long journey with this pregnancy and we're thrilled it's finally over and our beautiful Benjamin is here with us! He's perfect in every way!
