When Can You Tell People???

I was just wondering when is a good time/safe time to announce your pregnancy?

We told our parents and siblings at 5. Then after our 6 weeks scan we told the extended family, all of work, and social media. I do work at a hospital though so my nurses needed to know so they could help me out.

Around 80% of miscarriages happen in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. At 20 weeks you usually have your anomaly scan to check everything is growing as it should. 
I told my family at 5 weeks, and my close friends at about 8-9, but didn’t tell anyone else until 13 weeks once we were over the scary bit. Some people don’t tell anyone until after 20 weeks

Whenever you feel like it. Some ppl suggest waiting until the second trimester once the chance of miscarriage drops significantly but it’s up to you. It’s your body, baby and business. Congratulations ❤️

My husband is worried and wants to wait until we are into the 2nd trimester. I'm 10w today and want to start telling close friends and family. We told our immediate families once we got the blood test done and confirmed from the dr what the pregnancy test said positive. My 2 cousins guessed who are like sisters to me but thats all who knows right now. My aunts I think know since I'm not drinking around them. 
I want to tell close friends and aunts now that I hit 10w but my hubby keeps saying let's wait. He is nervous our close friends will post on fb or tell others instead of keeping it to themselves. Idk what to do either.

I told my family ( mom, sisters, dad, & boyfriend ) Soon as i got a positive on the test. They said to wait until you're three months, but do it when you're ready

Personally I didn’t tell anyone, even family, until the second trimester. Only person who knew was my SO.
