My due date came and passed on Friday and we were a little disappointed- Friday was hubby's birthday and we were both super eager for them to share the date. Well that didn't happen and at my midwife appt (also Friday), we talked about induction. I never thought it would come to this. I cried on the car ride home because even after my second membrane sweep, I'm only 2cm. This is my first baby.

My best friend is an L&D nurse and took off until Feb 5th to be there for me 100% and she's great. We've walked around Costco, had spicy Thai food, bought red raspberry leaf tea and EPO capsules, she recommended trying my breast pump, etc. Still nothing but since I'm already on leave, I might as well try and keep myself busy.

I've tried the whole pineapple, sex, foot massage, yoga ball, walking my dogs for over a mile daily.. Nothing. And I took 1500mg EPO last night (2 orally at 6pm and 1 vaginally at 9pm) and just got nausea and some diarrhea. I thought the bowel/ menstrual-like pain was an intense contraction but I went to the bathroom and felt better.

I also had an awful dream last night. Hubby was working so I already had him on speed dial but I dreamt that our daughter was born a boy and I didn't love or want him. I wouldn't hold or accept him and he ended up dying soon after birth and everyone thought I killed him. It was awful and I couldn't sleep so I waited up until almost 4am for hubby to get home and he told me to not stress and calm down.

My friend also said that my fear of labor (I was fine until about a week ago) could be tricking my body into not letting it happen. Not sure if that's true but I'm trying to listen to my body and eat well and stay active. I'm so sore and my feet/ back just ACHE! The induction will be Saturday the 2nd at 8pm if nothing progresses and I have the nonstress test on Friday morning. Baby girl is still moving just fine and my midwife thinks she's about 7lbs now.
