For all you workin momma’s

Abby

Right after i went back to work full time after having my daughter i was feeling so guilty all the time for the time i was missing. Then i had a conversation with one of my friends that made me feel so much better! She said there was a recent longitudinal study done that found girls who had working moms were more likely to be comfortable pursuing challenging career opportunities and were more likely to be in leadership roles in the workplace. Men raised by working mothers were more likely to pursue/marry a women that was passionate about her career and was twice as likely to be open to sharing the responsibilities of housework and parenting duties. The study DID NOT however show any difference in attachment of small children whose parents worked outside the home. I share this with all you mommas who are out there grinding for your babies to reassure you that while obviously it would be amazing to stay home, working full time has its benefits and advantages too. Don’t ever let anyone make you feel bad for not staying home. I hope sharing this helps to ease the guilt. We got this ladies!
