Why do people continue to use single-use plastic items even if they know the environmental impact?
I went to a coffee shop yesterday and I clearly said I would be taking my coffee in. They gave me a plastic cup with a lid and straw when the easily could have given me a glass coffee mug instead.
I see this happen when people buy one item from the pharmacy and the cashier will put the SINGLE item (like a mascara) into a plastic shopping bag.
And don’t get me started on bottled water! That’s the worst culprit imo...
Just wondering, why do you use single-use plastic when the environmental implications are clear?
Edit: I’m not claiming I’m perfect, but I try very hard to reduce my plastic use in little ways - reusable grocery bags, straws, no single-use water bottles, buying in bulk, etc.
