Double stroller??

Ladies. I’m due with my second daughter at the end of May. My daughter will be 1 month shy of 2 years old when my second is born. I’m debating whether to invest in a double stroller. Pros? Cons? My daughter doesn’t always like being in a stroller but prefers to walk. However once her sister gets here, I think it may change?

I got one through Facebook marketplace, gently used, for a pretty great price! That way if we don’t use it much, it wasn’t a huge investment. My main reason is my 2.5 yr old boy is a runner and if we go to the zoo or somewhere other than our neighborhood, I want to be able to ensure both kids stay put and my attention isn’t split between the baby and my toddler.

My older was almost 26M when baby came. 6M later we still don't have a double. I wear baby and toddler either walks or rides. I'll carry baby until she is a year and big sister is old enough to walk most of the time. It depends on how much you use your stroller though. We only use it for walks.

My son will be 19 months when the baby gets here and I don’t plan to buy a double stroller. I carried him in a carrier since the beginning so I plan to carry the new baby at first and have my oldest in the stroller and see how he is doing. I can always go and buy the double stroller if needed, but I hope I won’t need it
