How would you pronounce Eli?

I love the name Eli (ee-lie) for a girl but I’m scared people will read it as Ellie (el-ee), which is still a cute name but not the name I want.

I say Ee-lie but I think it’s a boys name. And if I saw a girl with that name I’d be confused and think maybe it’s supposed to be Elle. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nah it's a really common boy name so I think everyone will know to say E-lie. I work with an Eli and his name has never been mispronounced (I direct a lot of people to his desk lol so I'm well aware haha)

They’d only say “Ellie” if you put two Ls in there. Eli says ee-lie.
